The Wrought Iron 1" collection is based on a one inch diameter rod. Most wrought iron products are actually made by hand using traditional hand forging methods. Typically the finials will all have subtle differences, adding to the prestige of these products. Variations in color is also typical of wrought iron, as all pieces are hand plated and surfaces, as well as the metal, react differently to the plating process. The 1" diameter size is used as an in between size, where you want the rod to be seen but not over power. The collection will have many styles of supports providing flexibility and options for installation. In most cases wrought iron is used for traditional style drapes, with rings, but for today's designers there are no limits.
